“Don’t Bug Out” Print ad
The client needed a campaign that spoke to both parents and children. This married up to my love of cartoons. I pitched “Don’t Bug Out” as a spitball idea to my creative director. The clients fell in love with the idea and it was eventually selected as the official campaign for the brand.
“Don’t Bug Out” Animated Shorts
Fun fact: Kids have a hard time sitting still for anything—especially when they’re getting treated for head lice. So we created a series of cartoons to give kids and parents something to watch while Sklice did its magic. I helped script, direct the VO recording, and direct the animation for these shorts.
In-Pharmacy Shelf Talker
Brand Challenge:
When their kids have head lice, parents want to run to the pharmacy and buy an over-the-counter treatment. Instead, they should be calling their doctor. It’s a mistake that could mean those head lice will keep coming back again and again.
By poking fun at the initial panic of head lice, the “Don’t Bug Out” campaign lets parents know it’s OK to take the time to call their doctor and ask for a prescription treatment.
My role:
As a senior writer, I was in charge of the day-to-day writing for the Sklice website, banners ads, and patient brochure. I also took part in research for the “Don’t Bug Out” campaign.
